Narrow the first build.

One supported vehicle family, one initial mechanical package, and a restrained option list give development a manageable starting point. Each extra configuration adds sourcing, installation, validation, and service work.

Document the hidden work.

Wiring routes, fastener specifications, brackets, hoses, calibration versions, and assembly steps should be recorded. A future repair should not depend on finding the person who remembers how one particular vehicle was built.

Count the real costs.

Donor condition, corrosion repair, bodywork, fabrication, assembly time, compliance, testing, and aftercare all affect cost. Fewer screens cannot by themselves establish an affordable vehicle. A repeatable process has to prove the proposition.
